More Than Just Vessel Placards for the Journeys Ahead

Vessel Placards ()

“I already have vessel placards, do you have anything else?” That’s a question we’ve been asked, in one form or another, multiple times. Yes. Enthusiastically yes. We have many, many different items that can make your journey both safer and more fun. Yes, our site may be named after our placards, but we offer so much more than just that.

Glasses to Toast, to Christen, to Enjoy

If you’re like many of us, boating isn’t just a hobby, an activity, or even a business, it’s a lifestyle. We have plenty of glasses that fit that lifestyle, whether you’re on land or off.

For example, we offer a wide range of glass cups, beer mugs, wine glasses, and shot glasses. You should never drink and boat, never. When you’re on land, these are the perfect accompaniment to a gathering, a great way to celebrate a good day at sea.

There’s all manner of great artistic designs. Many of them feature perfectly-etched fish, ships, captain’s wheels, and the like. You don’t have to drink from these, of course – they make the perfect nautical decoration to let anyone who sees them know exactly where your heart lies.

By that same token, boating is fun and these glasses can celebrate that, too. Many of them have cute phrases to either evince a smile or a rueful grin: “Drinking Rum Before 10 AM Makes You a Pirate, Not an Alcoholic,” “Captain’s Word is Law,” “Land Was Created So Boats Have a Place to Visit,” “I Work in Sails,”  “Knot My Problem,” “To Sea or Knot to Sea,” and so forth.

If you’re like many of us, you grew up hearing dads, uncles, and other older sailors say these exact phases or similar ones on land or at sea. Those are just some of what we offer.

Marpol Signs of All Kinds

Signage doesn’t just look good on a modern vessel; it’s a necessity. Even if you aren’t legally required to have certain signs on your vessel, you, your crew, your passengers, and your vessel are better off having great, durable signs that remind all who come through what’s important. We have a wide range of signs to fit your nautical journeys.

Our Marpol signs can be as simple as “Life Jackets Must Be Worn,” (which is something that, as you well know, certain guests need to be reminded of at all times while on board) or as complicated as a “Discharge Oil Prohibited” one.

The latter shows our attention to detail: it explains the law in its entirety. Additionally, it shows where exactly all discharges should be reported and gives a phone number.

We also have Marpol signs for your maximum capacity, which hatches should be closed when at sea, warnings about dumping, warnings about disposal, and warnings about not using illegal drugs on your vessel, among others.

We have multiple dumping and throwing garbage overboard signs available as well. That way, you can find a sign that doesn’t just fit your needs but the style of your vessel as well.

Making your own Marpol signs can be time-consuming, to say the very least. It’s the kind of thing that, when you’re halfway through it (if not sooner), you’re very likely to think: “do I really need to make this sign for the people on my vessel?” Unfortunately, that’s when it’s all too easy to find that someone didn’t listen to their common sense.

These Marpol signs can make for a better, stress-free boating experience, no matter why you’re using your vessel.

Documentation That Matters

We don’t just offer placards, we don’t just offer glasses, nor do we just offer Marpol signs – we actually make it easier to get your vessel documented, too. Yes, that’s right: we can simplify the vessel documentation process. We don’t believe that should be challenging or time consuming for vessel owners like you.

So, you can go through our site and apply for your initial vessel documentation as well as request a replacement certificate in just a few minutes. This is one more way that we can make boating a less stressful experience for our customers.

Vessel Placards, Too

All of the above having been said, the name of our site is still “vessel placards.” That’s still the main thrust of what we do. We offer placards for vessel owners that make it easy to be in compliance with the United States Coast Guard or Transport Canada, depending on where you’re using our vessel.

You can choose from stainless steel, rich mahogany, or high grade polyurethane for your placard. Each can display your numbers how they must be displayed, but also how you would want them to be displayed. To see everything that we have to offer vessel owners like you, head to our site.
